'Studio' was for a long time, more of an ambition than a reality - it was actually a workroom. But finally it is in process of becoming a place where I can create my miniatures. And this blog is where I will share thoughts about my some of my interests - home, miniatures and miniature petitpoint, patchwork, heirloom sewing, machine embroidery and counted cross stich, and just life in general. Thank you for visiting, I hope you will return often and leave comments too .............

I haven't told Peter yet but along with the Flower Pot Cottage from Petite Properties I also ordered another house kit today - the Story Book Cottage from Suzanne and Andrews! I wasn't overly impressed with this cottage at first; in its unadorned state it looks rather severe. But then I saw it decked out with a garden and such, and fell in love with it. After humming and ha-ing for a long time, I relented and - well, there it is! Yet another one to add to my stash. Sorry the photo is not very clear - this is how it comes when I copy it from the site. Shame. But the second one, with the rose vine around the door, gives a bit better idea.
none of these cottages had lots of rooms and that makes them easier to furnish and decorate which suits me fine. I have also ordered the first of the books that Fiona has released on making 1:48 scale furniture. So I should be able to start on furniture that is quite different from the bought kits I have for the other cottages that I have.
