But I had something special to look forward to - meeting a friend, just a short distance north from Yarrahapinni where we were at Camp. We have been internet friends for some time, and now we met in the flesh and she is every bit as delightful as I imagined. It is Susan, from minicrochetmad and she does the most amazing crochet I have ever seen! I was bowled over that she gave me this gorgeous set of baby clothes that will actually fit a 1:12th scale baby doll

Thank you Susan from the bottom of my heart! I will treasure these always, and display them with pride in the nursery of a special house.
I am embarrassed that my gift for Susan isn't completed yet - I thought there'd be plenty of time during Camp - and it doesn't measure up at all to the standards of this wonderful crochet!
wow that's great to meet a mini friend for real! Her gift to you is gorgeous! Happy travels xx
ReplyDeleteJazzi, it is a total thrill to meet a person I have corresponded with and to find that she is as nice in person as she seemed on-line. And her work doesn't show nearly to it's best in the photo. I am very fortunate - in finding such a friend and in the gift as well. Sandie
DeleteWhat a lovely precious gift, so delicate! Nice to meat a minifriend for real.

yes Maria it certainly is - on both counts! sometimes you meet someone in person and are disappointed, but Susan is just as nice as I thought she was. Hugs Sandie

It's a very beautiful gift Monika. So glad you enjoyed your visit to Kakadu and Queensland. We've seen lots of Queensland and Northern Territory but haven't made it to Kakadu yet - we want to do a trip where we go up the centre, see Alice Springs, Uluru etc, go right up to Kakudu then see Katherine Gorge again and go over to Western Australia once more. I just love it all! Sandie
DeleteOh, I'm in awe of such tiny crochet!!! I love to crochet... But I know my limits! Susan just got herself a new follower... :)
ReplyDelete...Have a safe trip home, Sandie! :)
I'm in awe of it too, believe me. I love to crochet as well, and thought I did fine work but it's nothing compared to this.
DeleteКакая прелесть! Мне очень нравится!
ReplyDeleteQue maravilloso regalo, es una verdadera preciosidad.

ReplyDeleteDelicate and precious gifts.

Oh Sandie, what a truly beautiful gift and the chance to meet with an online friend too. Safe traveling,
ReplyDeleteblessings, Vicki xx
Thanks Vicki, I am pleased to be stopped for a few days now. Isn't it a lovely gift? And yes, it is such a special thing to meet an online friend. I am looking forward to meeting you as well - sooner rather than later (there are whispers of a trip to Victoria but don't tell anyone, it's only a whisper). Hugs, Sandie xx
DeleteA very beautiful gift. Enjoy. Getting to meet on-line friends is wonderful and Susan's work is always stunning.
